| Summary: | This research aimed to identify the barriers that interfere with the production of those journals edited by Brazilian universities. The model of scientific and technological information transfer through published documents (King, 1981) was used was used [in the analysis of] 54 journals, published by 12 universities were investigated. It was found thato in the beginning and at the end of the processo there is human potential for the generation and utilization of the knowledge distributed by such journals. However, the lack of papers submitted and qualified editorial teams, as well as the endogeny in the evaluation processo and the limited circulation of those workso are some of the facts that compromise the quality and the levei of trust deposited in these published material. |
