Resumo:This article emerge from the master dissertation of the autor, which analyses a sicilian immigrant trajectory in Porto Alegre and his ways of inserction, mostly in a professional way, in a “gaúcho” contexto, since the arrive in 1925 until the closure of his fabric in 1968. The article was divided in two parts, firstly we’ll have a brief historical review of the reunion behaviour of the italian collectivity in the Rio Grande do Sul. With an analysis of the principal forms of inserction with this migratories groups in diverses “gaúchas” towns, mostly in regions not knowledge as central in the process, as how the border cities. The second part’s a review of the italian collectivity in Porto Alegre, and an analysis about the way of association in an especific group, from the Municipal Band of Porto Alegre.
