Resumo:Social inclusion and sustainable development are topics that are gaining more and more importance in discussions about entrepreneurship today. The Economy of Communion (EoC) emerged as a proposal of economic vision and practice who places the human being at the center, so for it these themes are crucial. This paper proposes an analysis of the Economy of Communion (EoC) from four perspectives. It starts from a historical rescue that shows the socioeconomic context that preceded EoC and how this context contributed to the way it was established. Then, it discusses its institutional development, considering its worldwide dimension. Subsequently, two concrete projects developed by Brazilian EoC are presented. These projects are pioneering in the international EoC context. The perspectives and challenges of EoC in Brazil and in the world are discussed and, finally, the conclusions are presented.
