| Sumario: | The article analyzes the impacts of the contemporary trend of destandardization of working hours and fragmentation of the work of employed people, based on gender and race. Data on the number of hours of productive work by social markers, as well as other available statistics about the distribution of time and ways in which women and men, white and black people organize the time dedicated to social reproduction and how the distribution of time between productive and reproductive work takes place, considering the markers of sex and race. The hypothesis is that black people and women are in more precarious occupations and suffer the effects of the racial and sexual division of labor, especially in underemployment due to insufficient hours and segmentation of occupations; by lowered incomes; and by accumulating more hours for care activities and/or household chores and informal work. |
