Descripción
Sumario:The work aims to discuss the concepts of “disaster” and “devastation”, employed by Freud and Lacan, respectively, to name the ambivalent relationship between mother and daughter, which the loving partner is heir. We consider the literary production of Marguerite Duras, especially her work “The Lover” in order to facilitate the elucidation and the transmission of such concepts. From this perspective, we also wish to undertake a brief comment about the female joy, love and death, evoked in this novel by Duras.
