| Sumario: | This study examines the story of a small Jewish community, located in Belmonte, Portugal, which endured for nearly 300 years, the violent repression of the Portuguese Inquisition, by maintaining secret crypto-Jewish practices, which are a form of hybrid Judaism , unique in the world. In this paper, we sought, through the paradigm of semiotics of culture, to understand whether intracultural and intercultural communication between the current Jewish and non-Jewish communities, constitute, or not, supporting phenomena or obstacles in leveraging the construction of a cultural tourism product. |
