Resumo:In the present work, the objective is to identify and analyze the processes of constitution of the caipira territory, through the socio-spatial trajectory of guitarrists and the brasilian ten-strings guitar, with a focus on musicians known as concertgoers or neocaipiras. Concerning this music, the following questions were discussed: What territorialities and / or spatial representations do evidence? What importance of music in the context of the current caipira music? Still on the affective link between the urban guitarrists and the caipira territory, would this be influenced by the musical making linked to that culture? What are the relationships that the concert performers guitar players have with the caipira universe and not only with the music? As methodological procedures, the following were used: bibliographical survey, with emphasis on studies of caipira music; consultation with secondary sources and interviews about the musical, instrumental and socio-spatial trajectory of four guitarrists. The thesis presents an analysis of the processes of consolidation of a caipira identity, passing through the varied musical facets related to this field of cultural production, above all, the neocaipiras guitarrists and their works that show hybridity and/or cultural reterritorialization. The musical practices of the neocaipiras guitarrists show juxtapositions of sonorities of distinct cultures, above all, an approach to classical and/or concert music, as well as interactions in urban spaces peculiar to this scenario, and maintains musical, cultural and spatial references to the caipira universe.
