Resumo:The article proposes to present the trajectory of the research in the area of Religious Education at the Faculdades EST and to analyze the events of Religious Education carried out in this space which have to do with concepts and research contents. In this perspective, it analyzes concepts, characteristics and the contextualization of the research in general terms in Brazil and specificities regarding Religious Education in the range of this Institution of Higher Learning (IES). It contextualizes the research in the school and in the academic sphere and proposes an interlocution between these two research loci. The methodology is based on surveying the themes of the events carried out and the themes of the productions resulting from the challenge put forth by the themes of the listed symposiums. It also presents the relation these productions have with the teacher formation process as a culmination of the responsibilities of the IES with teaching, research and extension.
