Descripción
Sumario:This article aims to analyze the re(actions) of teachers and teacher assistant to Early Childhood Education in face of the crying of babies in the interactions established at a Municipal School of Early Childhood Education (EMEI) in Belo Horizonte – MG, having as reference the Early Childhood Education literature and the guiding documents at the national and municipal level. This is a master's research with a qualitative approach whose main method was participant observation in a class composed of 12 babies, 4 teachers and 1 teacher assistant. Carried out during the 2nd semester of the year of 2017, the observations were recorded in the field journal and by means of video recordings. Based on the analysis, the relevance of further research on the expressions of babies and on the postures and actions of teachers and assistants is indicated in view of the possibilities and limits of professional and human training for care and education work in this context. The importance of providing moments of systematic reflection on educational practices is also reiterated.
