| Sumario: | This essay presents some of the main ideas in the theorization of Luiz Costa Lima. The notions of mimesis and fiction are highlighted as relevant aspects in the production of the Brazilian intellectual, based on two specific chapters of the works Mímesis: desafio ao pensamento (2000) and Frestas (2013). As an epilogue, the relationship of the works with the monographic O controle do imaginário & a afirmação do romance (2009) is underlined, linking the concepts of mimesis and fiction to the idea of control of the imaginary, which is at the center of the theory of the fiction of Costa Lima. |
