| Sumario: | The sharp expansion of reentry in the Acrian penitentiary system indicates that re-educating for some reason cannot dissociate themselves from criminal activities. Increasing the recurrence rate from 2010 to 2015. In this context, we have the following problem: what are the determinants of penitentiary reentry in the municipality of Rio Branco - Acre? In general, it seeks to identify the main factors that influence reentry into the penitentiary system. The analytical model used was the binary choice logit model estimated by the maximum likelihood method. The research identified that gender, marital status, insertion in adolescent crime and living in violent neighborhoods contribute decisively to recidivism. In turn, a portfolio signed in conjunction with vocational courses help to reduce the propensity for recidivism. |
