| Summary: | The IPIB - Independent Presbyterian Church of Brazil is a church that has its roots in the Protestant Reformation of the sixteenth century with Calvinist orientation. It was founded in July 31st, in 1903. It hás its idologic basis on the following premise: A reformed church, always reforming itself. Therefore, as the basis of religious pluralism is to challenge the human being to live in a respectful way with the different, this Church seems to be an apparent fruit of the pluralist impact, or accepted it with little rejection in its religious and spiritual practices, but in its theory and theology, it does not make it clear. This church, throughout its trajectory of more than a century, is in Constant contact with religious plurality in the context of its acting. Thus, it’s important and relevant researching the impact of religious pluralism on IPIB. From the confluence betwenn Paul Tilich’s thoughts, those of Latin American theology, and others contemporary in face a multiple and even hybrid perspective of religions, we can affirm that the impact of religious pluralism on IPIB must be research due to profound changes in social, culturarl, political and economic practices and religious expericence of individuals |
