However, sexuality as a subject is not officially included to the university curriculum yet. As a consequence, most of the experts in sexuality are trained outside the academia. ln addition, experts in sexology have very diverse education and training. This results in a dichotomy between interdisciplinary fields, inherent to the sexuality studies, and actual multi-disciplinary due to the disparity of professions involved in sexuality today. With this situation in mind, this paper presents a theory of ethics for sexology that considers three pillars: 1. Professional identity (a definition of the contents of the discipline). 2. Limits of each profession regarding sexuality analysis (a "crisis theory"). 3. Resources that can be used (stick to the "a lt rly p rn rp t ). This paper discuses these three pillars and identifies the urgency to set up university degrees in sexuality; and insists on the need of an ethics code for professionals working in sexuality.A sexualidade tem sido pesquisada de diversas maneiras nas últimas décadas. Porém, os estudos relacionados com a sexualidade ainda não entraram completamente nas universidades. A maior parte das especializações em sexologia são extra-universitárias. Somado a isto, a maioria dos profissionais que trabalham com sexualidade possui formações muito diversas entre si. Isto resulta numa dicotomia entre uma interdisplinaridade (inerentes aos estudos sobre a sexualidade) e uma multidisplinaridade real, devida à diversidade de profissionais que atuam na sexualidade. Com esta realidade como referencial realizamos o presente trabalho, apresentando uma teorização do que acreditamos ser o alicerce fundamental para enfrentar esta situação: uma Ética da sexologia. Esta deve contemplar três planejamentos básicos: 1. Identidade de cada profissional (a definição dos conteúdos da sexologia) 2. Limites da ação do sexólogo (a teoria da crise) 3.
