Description
Summary:This article aims to build a reflection on elements inherent to agroecological thinking, based on realities in crisis intertwined with issues of regional development and sustainability. It analyzes the theoretical foundation of agroecology, with an emphasis on family farming. From the understanding that it is necessary to formulate theories capable of capturing the processes and practices of peripheral countries, the decolonial thought emerges, offering a new paradigm to embody a broader and more inclusive rationality, one that can grasp the infinite richness and diversity of social experience worldwide. The objective is to analyze agroecology from a decolonial perspective, bringing it closer to the critique of the logic that sustains the epistemic sovereignty of modern science.
