Descripción
Sumario:Ewald Janssen was a German surveyor engineer who took up residence in Goiânia in 1949 and provided services to the State and the private sector. Janssen's work is commonly associated with urban planning and development in Goiânia. Our interest is to discuss the construction of the Ewald Janssen collection, investigating how the process of negotiating the donation of documents by the family and the intervention of the Museum took place. Anthropological establishing the collection. Initially, an exploratory analysis was carried out, which included visiting the museum, interviewing the project coordinator and then mapping possible sources, testimonials and collecting databases, newspapers and letters. The research sought to understand the process through which cultural assets go through between collection, treatment and museumization of the collection. It appears that the way in which preservation, research and communication activities are carried out in museum collections will determine the course of management of such collections.
