description This paper's goal is to analyze Warner Bros and HBO's streaming series Westworld, in face of the growing importance of digital technologies in the creation and solution of problems related to the current climate crisis, which can ruin environmental conditions for the survival of humans (and many other species). This analysis will take into account academic, entrepreneurial and fictional debates on the possibilities of the technologies mobilized by the Singularity hypothesis's narratives and imaginaries, which foresee, in its limits, the replacement of biologic nature for computing technology. The conditions of humanity of such new race, from which it should be able to make choices, experience affections and build individual personalities will be brought into discussion, since these are ground aspects for the constitution of both the modern man, upon which laws and governments are directed, and this new post-human man, whose humanity is attested by these very characteristics.

Este análisis tendrá en cuenta los debates académicos, empresariales y ficcionales sobre las posibilidades de las narrativas e imaginarios movilizados por el Singularismo, que prevé, en su límite, la sustitución de la naturaleza biológica por la informática. Se pretende problematizar los fundamentos de la caracterización humana en Westworld, considerando el enunciado del surgimiento de una nueva raza. Se cuestionará la capacidad de esta nueva raza para ejercer el libre albedrío, experimentar afectos y construir personalidades individuales: condiciones básicas para la constitución tanto del sujeto moderno, en el que se basan las leyes y los gobiernos, como de este nuevo sujeto, cuya humanidad sería atestiguada por ellos .Este trabalho se destina a analisar a série Westworld, distribuída pela Warner Bros e transmitida pela HBO, frente à participação crescente das tecnologias digitais na criação e solução de problemas relacionados à presente crise climática, a qual pode desencadear o fim das condições ambientais para a sobrevivência dos seres humanos (e inúmeras outras espécies). Esta análise levará em conta debates acadêmicos, empresariais e ficcionais sobre as possibilidades acerca das narrativas e dos imaginários mobilizados pelo Singularismo, que prevê, em seu limite, a substituição da natureza biológica por tecnologia computacional. Pretende-se problematizar os fundamentos da caracterização humana em Westworld, considerando a enunciação da emergência de uma nova raça.
