| Sumario: | Its presents a study on private school libraries management and their alignment with strategic planning. It addresses the library’s role, its users and how it is inserted in the school community. It conceptualizes strategic planning and its importance in libraries day-to-day. It highlights the relevance of the professional competence of librarians as managers of the libraries in which they work. It uses the case study methodology, from the private school libraries perspective, and the qualitative research comes from basic nature, with an exploratory approach. The data was collected through the questionnaire with librarians, subjects of the study. It concludes that some libraries are still scrapped from the institutions' strategic planning, but that librarians are improving their professional training in order to develop skills that enable them to be better managers and therefore align the library with the institutions in which they work. |
