| Sumario: | This essay starts with the analysis of Gramsci's concepts of civil society and hegemony to discuss possible contributions of Gramscian thought to the concept of the public sphere.In dialogue with the production of authors such as Nogueira (2003), Avritzer (1994;1999), Portelli (1977) and Fraser (2001), two theoretical movements are proposed: a) think about the public sphere based on conflicts, the actors that cross it and their multiplicity; b) consider conceptual diversity based on the dynamics of dispute in which different ideas of the public sphere seek to reflect the different acting projects that try to dispute reality. In this sense, Gramscian thought enables an approach that considers the process of dispute around the concept of the public sphere and the relationships with social actors in conflict. |
