Sumario:This article is a review of literature on water training in a upright position in order to demonstrate the different models of training that is being used their physiological responses in different populations. Regarding the characteristics of training, there isthe prescription of combined training, found in most studies, being manipulated in different ways. Most investigations were performed with healthy subjects, missing studies that use the water in an upright position training as treatment of disease. Among the physiological effects found, those who stand out in relation to lipid profile, blood glucose levels and bone mineral density, indicating possibilities for future research on these topics, extremely important for promoting and maintaining health.
