| Sumario: | The federal government, along with the vast majority of state and municipal governments, uses the estimates from the João Pinheiro Foundation (FJP) as a central reference for evaluating their housing needs. The FJP, an institution of the Government of the State of Minas Gerais, conducted three studies on the topic for the Federal Government in 1995, 2001, and 2004. The latest study is available on the Ministry of Cities' website, which contracted the service in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB). |
