| Sumario: | This paper talks about the Shiyali Ranganathan’s biography based on a translation, which was made by the authors of this paper, of his main publications in Library Science. In this respect, this paper also presents some Ranganathan’s experiences as a librarian. It discusses the results of some research which were developed by Ranganathan to contribute to scientific method and theories in the Library Science field. It also talks about the incentives that Ranganathan received to carry out his projects of documentation in India, due to his admission to important organization of his field. Finally, this paper presents a list of his main publications and also explains how adaptations of those publications happened to Documentation field. |
