| Sumario: | The main objective of this study was to analyze the changes in Brazil s Higher Education context taking into consideration the development of UNINOVE Institute of Technology in Foreign Trade and the reflection about the production of knowledge and interaction in the course related to the labor market. Thus, four specific objectives were defined: (1) to describe how the formation of the technologist is processed at UNINOVE Institute of Foreign Trade, and also identifying the pattern of his/her formation, (2) to examine, in accordance with the new LDB, the structure of the curriculum and the pedagogical project of the course formation, (3) to identify in the labor market the areas of action for Technology in Foreign Trade fields and verify if they match with the graduate student formation, and (4) to establish a students profile, having in mind the professional reality of graduated students. The theoretical framework was based on treating the development of skills necessarily to the student of the technology courses and the difficulties to link these skills with the demands of the market. Besides the official documents that deal with the formation of this technologist and the documents of the course, were used semi-structured questionnaires as a tool to raise the academic formation and professional expectation of graduated students. Overall, the results indicate that the course, lasting two years, accompanying the structural changes of the economy and the policy that influence the future technologist. This work allowed understanding that there is still much to be studied and the changed is a present factor and propelling spring for the future studies. |
