Resumo:The Life Cycle Assessment presents several models for assessing water scarcity in a region. Among the main models available, Pfister and Bayern propose the factors that express the potential of water scarcity in watersheds around the world. These factors were obtained using demand and availability data from global hydrological models. In this work, regional factors of water scarcity were calculated for the sub-basins from the use of national data, comparing them with the original values of the model to identify the need for regionalization for other Brazilian regions, especially the semi-arid regions. It was observed that the regionalization of the factors allowed a closer approximation with the historical scenario of scarcity in the Ceara basins, collaborating for the next studies about the product life cycle.
