Descripción
Sumario:The article deals with associativism and Protestantism in the context of the German immigration in Brazil from mid 19th century to the first decades of the 20th century, focusing on their interrelation. It asks about the origins and the constitution of associativism in Germany in the 19th century, placing priority on its reflexes within the Protestant universe. Based on the example of the Gustav-Adolf Association ("Gustav-Adolf-Verein"), it analyzes how the associative movement aimed at the Protestant diaspora unfolded in the Protestant congregations and sectors of Brazil.
