Resumo:Disney Princess films have helped build an imaginary about the love of fairy tales in which "love at first sight" is closely related to "lived happily ever after." This process of construction is part of the process of identifying this feeling in the West, as well as the very idea of what constitutes a fairy tale. However, in Disney's latest adaptations of this narrative genre, love and heterosexual lovemaking has presented itself differently than Disney used to work with until then in its princess films. In addition, it emerges that new representations of gender roles are being explored in these animations, diverging from the model prince hero and princess in danger and being closely related to the role and importance that romantic love presents for the constitution of the plot. In this sense, the aim of the present research is to analyze this process that constructed a common imaginary around what is a love of fairy tales and how Disney has gradually moved away from it around a more modern model of relationships and relations of genre. Based on this gradual discursive change, we intend to understand what the ideal models of relationships are and loves presented by Disney, as well as contribute to the understanding of the social construction of love in the West.
