Sumario:Questions concerning the intervention process have been increasingly target of attention and research within Psychology. This article presents a review of the literature related to the process of career counseling. In this context, the process of career counseling, and the common characteristics of career and personal counseling are analyzed. Additionally, a brief characterization is presented of the main research studies of the career counseling process. Finally, suggestions for future research are outlined.
