Descripción
Sumario:The objective of this manuscript is to determine the factors that create sustainability scenarios and influence decision-making in small and medium-sized restaurants in the municipality of Ibagué, Colombia. The work methodology is presented as an exploratory study, which took 21 small and medium-sized companies in the restaurant subsector as the target population. The information gathering technique used was the interview, oriented to academic experts and entrepreneurs of the restaurant sector. The most representative finding is that there are factors that determine business sustainability, such as the lack of a public policy to strengthen the Colombian business fabric. It is highlighted that an enduring company is one that adapts its management to the intensity of the conditions of the sectorial environment, organizational identity, financial management, market forces and innovation.
