| Sumario: | This article analyses actions and movements of formalism in the Normal School of Maranhao (1890-1914), which created different forms of performance in schooling and within society in the first two decades of 20th century in the capital city of Sao Luis, Maranhao State. Possible initiatives are shown in a context where instruction assumed great importance, influencing practices identified with this new tool of negotiation to women that had access to it. |
