Descrição
Resumo:This study analyzed and compared body composition components between youth and professional soccer players from Marechal Cândido Rondon at the beginning of the training period. The sample included 16 youth players (mean age: 15.56 ± 1.09 years) and 13 professionals (mean age: 25.15 ± 3.31 years). Variables such as body weight, height, body fat percentage, lean body mass, and fractioned weight components were evaluated. Descriptive statistics (mean ± standard deviation) and the Student's t-test with a significance level of p<0.05 were used. The results indicated that professionals showed higher body weight and muscle weight, while no statistically significant differences were found for height and lean body mass. It was concluded that muscle weight is the main differentiating factor between the categories, which is relevant for physical training adjustments.
