Sumario:The purpose of this study was to investigate the mood of basketball athletes of a São Paulo Club at the beginning and end of the 2018 season. Thus, the Brunel Humor Scale (BRUMS), applied in a sample composed of 26 male and female volunteers (Sub-13 and Sub-15), aged 13 to 15 years, was used. The results showed that the two groups had similar mood at the beginning and end of the season, with the Vigor factor being higher than the others. In addition, Sub-13 increased Vigor and Tension factor scores between the beginning and the end of the season and Sub-15 decreased Fatigue factor scores throughout the season. It can be concluded that the athletes presented the humor profile called iceberg.
