| Sumario: | The present work had as main objective to develop a concrete without photoluminescent structural function in which it can absorb sunlight or artificial and store this light and when it gets dark it can re-emit it. Through experimental methods and theoretical studies, concrete was made with white cement and the replacement of 100% of the coarse and small aggregates by tempered glass in the desired granulometry, with tempered glass being the main residue of glassware and its reuse significantly contributes to sustainability of the planet, since through this method the glass residues can be inserted in the civil construction again, giving a more noble destination than dumps. To obtain the luminous effect, photoluminescent pigments were added to the concrete. The dosage for this concrete was elaborated in order to obtain the best workability and proportion of the construction materials of this concrete and the desired resistance. The results obtained were satisfactory, with the possibility of this concrete being used to coat internal and external environments of homes, businesses, this new concept can preserve and reduce the consumption of electricity and natural resources. |
