| Sumario: | With the advent of artificial intelligence, several solutions began to emerge that are premised on autonomy and guided computer learning. This study aims to carry out a prospection based on patents and scientific publications, verifying the state of the art and technique of solutions that implement artificial intelligence aimed at smart cities. This work presents a qualitative-quantitative approach, of an exploratory nature, through research in journals and patent prospecting. Based on the results, academic publications and patent families were analyzed. Thus, China, the United States and Korea were identified as working scientifically and patently in the development of Artificial Intelligence technologies applicable to Smart Cities. It is concluded that the application of these technologies for autonomous and guided decisions reveals itself as a promising area, favoring new research, especially with solutions in the field of urban mobility, security and management. |
