| Summary: | This article aims to analyze the comments posted on YouTube videos that dealt with the relationship between Gender and Mental Health. It can be seen that the videos allowed an "amplification of consciousness", especially of women, regarding the ways of performing gender roles and perceiving their affective contradictions, in addition to relativizing the aesthetic ideal and legitimizing the non-choice of motherhood and marriage as identity anchors.
