Descripción
Sumario:The purpose of this applied research is to present theoretical and practical considerations on the production of digital itens designed to evaluate the proficiency of orality in Portuguese. This research is part of a project called “From paper to screen: proposal of new ways of evaluating proficiency in Portuguese with itens produced for digital platforms”, funded and developed during 2020 at Fundação Centro de Políticas Públicas e Avaliação da Educação/Universidade Federal de Juiz de Fora (henceforth Fundação CAEd/UFJF). As theoretical support, it is used the assumptions of orality in Portuguese, as well as the principles regarding evaluation itens design, and digital itens design; the Item Response Theory (IRT) is also used. Methodologically, this is an applied research, using qualitative and exploratory approaches. The TAO (Testing Assisté par Ordinateur) platform was used to produce the digital itens prototypes. From the digital itens prototypes, a qualitative analysis was carried out considering the digital itens design and their potential to be used in large scale evaluations. As partial results, it is pointed out that the production of digital items allows the use of hypermedia and multimedia facilities, which allow the evaluation of listening skills in oral Portuguese, something unfeasible in printed evaluation instruments.
