Sumario:Interprofessional collaboration is a kind of work which involves different professions committed to the development of care, and it is essential for the quality and efficiency of care and health outcomes. The study aimed to advance the validation process of Assessment of Interprofessional Team Collaboration Scale (AITCS II-BR), through the analysis of its dimensionality and demonstration of evidence of validity based on the structure and internal consistency for use in Brazil. This is a methodological study to validate the AITCS II-BR, which refers to the construct of interprofessional collaboration, originally disseminated in three dimensions: partnership, cooperation, and coordination. The study had 395 postgraduate students from courses in Health Education. Exploratory factor analysis, parallel analysis and internal consistency were conducted. Dimensionality analysis of the AITCS II-BR-V2 made it possible to identify Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin index (KMO=0,96). High internal consistency was identified in 23 items at Interprofessional Collaboration factor and Cronbach’s Alpha (α=0.96). The collaboration factor score average=3.34; standard deviation=0.78; mean=3.39; confidence interval [95%CI for the mean]=3.26 to 3.42; range 1 to 5. It is concluded that the instrument is valid within a high internal consistency and can be applied in the Brazilian context to evaluate interprofessional collaboration.
