| Sumario: | This article is a brief presentation of the chapters of my dissertation. My object of study is the construction of “I” in autobiographical writing by Graciliano Ramos, who in Memórias do Cárcere assumes the roles of writer, author, narrator and hero. In a nutshell, the writer is who lived the experiences narrated, the author is who signs the cover of this and other books, the narrator is who introduces the story to the reader and the hero is the character in action in the memories. Each of these elements is developed as a propellant theme of other issues suggested by the text. |
