Descripción
Sumario:Much has been written about political-cultural identity projects, with interpretations made with the most diverse documentary sources and methodological assumptions, particularly in the field of intellectual history, history of ideas, political history, social and cultural history. In this work, the main interest is to problematize the place of knowledge about the city, especially knowledge about urbanism, in the debate about Panamericanism and Latin Americanism. It also aims to elaborate questions to reflect on how the Latin American city and the urban problems that existed between the 19th and 20th centuries presented in the professional debate of Architects, Urbanists and Planners would also be inserted in the identity discussions about Panamericanism and Latin Americanism, mainly from the ideas and propositions that occurred in institutions created in the panamericanist scope between the 1930s and 1950s.
