| Sumario: | Introduction: Dyslipidemia is a disorder in the metabolism of lipids, which cause changes in the serum lipoproteins levels, increasing the risk for chronic diseases. The prevention and/or treatment of dyslipidemia must begin with changes in lifestyle, healthy eating habits, maintenance or gain of adequate body mass and regular physical activities. Objective: The present study aims to evaluate the impact of diet and regular physical activity in the serum lipoproteins levels after 4 months of treatment. Methods: The study was conducted with one female dyslipidemic patient (high TG, CT and LDL) with body fat percentage above mean levels. It was analyzed the evolution of the lipid profile, weight and body fat percentage in three moments: 1st appointment, 2nd appointment and 3rd appointment. Results: In the end of the treatment, the changes in life style reduced the body fat percentage in 24%; the CT in 12.2%; TG in 42.7%, LDL in 21.5% and HDL in 6.4%. Discussion: These reductions lead to a new classification of the TG and LDL levels to desirable and CT very close to desirable. The HDL was maintained close to the high level, despite it’s reduction. Our results show good effects in the lipid profile and the body composition with the association of physical activity and balanced diet. Conclusion: It is evident that a healthy diet in addiction of regular physical activities is essential to prevent and treat dyslipidemia. |
