Descripción
Sumario:The objective of this study was to estimate the prevalence of exposure to mortality risk situations in users of alcohol and other drugs, and analyze its associated factors. A cross-sectional observational study was carried out with individuals with disorders caused by the use and abuse of alcohol and other drugs according to medical diagnosis, who were receiving treatment in private rehabilitation centers and reported having already experienced death risk. A prevalence of 45.9% of exposure to mortality risk was found, which confirms the seriousness and complexity of this health and social situation. The results were associated with severe mental disorders and infectious diseases. Therefore, the mental health of this population requires special care.
