Summary:Agroecology is a systemic and integrative science between the ecological, economic and social dimensions, its transdisciplinarity erupts in different areas of society, as it involves knowledge from different areas such as social and human sciences, ecological and agricultural sciences, economic sciences and of health, promoting sustainability, quality of life and good living. All these elements can influence environmental preservation, the promotion of healthy and sustainable agrifood systems, and the improvement of people's quality of life. In this way, the objective of this essay is to present the relevance of agroecology and well-being for collective health. We consider that agroecology contributes to the purpose of promoting healthy eating, caring for the environment and promoting good living and collective health, minimizing the occurrence of environmental degradation, the loss of its biodiversity and diseases related to the use indiscriminate use of chemical agricultural inputs.
