| Sumario: | In recent decades, there has been an increase in the application of information and communication technologies in the various areas of health care. It is important to know the scenario of intellectual protection of this technological sector. Review of the patent literature on telehealth was carried out - in particular, videoconference. The worldwide scenario of patent protection is growing rapidly. The presence of multinationals companies is predominant in Brazil. The time series denotes the growth of deposits concurrently with high public investments in telehealth in the Unified Health System. The results of international screen showed that there are few deposits in Brazil, which indicates the impossibility of the local industry to reproduce the technology. The alliance between Brazilian companies and universities, with managers of the health sector emerges as a possible strategic path for technological development and innovation, through which the purchasing power of the State would induce the local industry. |
