| Sumario: | This paper seeks to analyze the poem “The Tempest” (1825) by Aleksandr Pushkin, already translated to Portuguese by José Casado and Felipe Munhoz, to offer it some space in the reception of his works in Brazil. It will be discussed the fact that a rich poetic production, despite its short length, twelve verses in total, brings out important semantic and structural issues of the author's style. Finally, it will also be analyzed how the poem fits into the context of the writer’s composition during the 1820’s and what repercussions the sea’s role plays in his work. |
