Sumario:Currently, there are progressive movements in the field of fashion that seek alternatives against the culture of fast fashion, excessive consumption, almost immediate disposal, to acquire more and more new pieces, which will become obsolete as quickly as the first ones acquired, which The problem emphasizes the identification of the necessary points to be worked on by new professionals, with the general objective being to diagnose relevant themes for the production of content, aimed at new professionals, with a view to fashion and sustainability. The approach used is design for sustainability. The methodology covers bibliographical research, in books, periodicals, online, conference proceedings, articles and the like on the topics involved in sustainability; consumption practices in today's society in the fashion market; waste of resources; textile fibers, sustainable characteristics, actions and initiatives aimed at conscious production and consumption. Field research was also carried out to identify topics that interest students in fashion design focused on the issue of sustainability. The results were structured as a diagnosis of relevant topics to be addressed by new fashion design professionals. Keywords: textile backdrop; conscious consumption; sustainable fashion.
