Descripción
Sumario:This paperintendstobring the dimension of subjectivity as anessentialelement in the composition of the education path of teachers in the Education of Ethnic-Racial Relations, in compliance with Law 10.639/2003. This research is basedoninterventionresearch and proposes a criticalreflectionon the representation of blackness in schools, highlighting the absence of positive identification models in thisenvironment and the normativity of whiteness in the school curriculum, in pedagogicalresources, teachingmaterials and the physicalspace of the schoolitself, in attribution of signs and meaningsthatenhance and reinforce its power. Withoutlosingsight of the unconsciousdimensionthatpermeates the complexissue of racism, it is understoodthat it is necessarytothinkbeyond the important curricular standards, content, skills, and abilitiestorecognize and valuediversity.
