Descripción
Sumario:In this article I discuss the notion of periphery in the field of theater and take as a subject the black theaters produced and staged in the city of Rio de Janeiro in the last five years. I relate its emergence to the democratization of cultural policy, address the notion of contextual theater and return to the concept of national-popular as a contrast to the current moment to identify, in a set of contemporary works, the emergence of a New Theater.
