| Sumario: | Micro and Small Enterprises (MSE) are contributing to the generation of jobs in addition to promoting the reduction of social inequality of Brazil. The correct pricing for MSEs are the determining factor for the decision to purchase their products by consumers. However, an erroneous pricing can lead an MSE to close. So, a case study was carried out in a small food company to understand the pricing processes. First, pricing problems were observed using the following methods: Plan-Do-Check- Act cycle. 5W2H; Ishikawa Diagram and the 5 Why. It was found that the company didn’t calculate its costs correctly, maintained an outdated prices menu, and didn’t have financial control, so this small company didn’t have a perception of the business performance. Through specific methods, the application of financial planning support tools, possible to form the sale price including all costs involved, and to point out some alternatives for an increase in revenue. |
