| Sumario: | The objective of this article is to present an analysis of the conditions and strategies of the Clan Potiguara crew to occupy and appropriate public spaces and to trigger and reaffirm territoriality processes. For that, we started with the analysis of a break dance event that is in its third edition, the "We are hip-hop Potiguara", organized by the Clan Potiguara crew and performed in the IV campus of the Federal University of Paraíba, in the city of Rio Tinto / PB. In a region strongly marked and influenced by the indigenous culture of the Potiguara tribe, from the event, this article intends to analyze, in addition to cultural practices, the global cultural elements and the appropriations and resignifications in accordance with the local characteristics; the territoriality processes involved and the establishment of interurban connections. Although I research crews in João Pessoa since 2010, this article addresses an event organized by the Clan Potiguara crew, a group researched in my current PIBIC project. |
