| Sumario: | The wood anatomy of Aspidosperma australe Müll. Arg., Aspidosperma polyneuron Müll. Arg. and Rauwolfia sellowii Müll. Arg. are described, based on samples collected in the province of Misiones, Argentina. The three species showed the most important anatomic features, cited in the literature for Apocynaceae. Aspidosperma australe is identified by its homogeneous and predominantly uniseriate rays. Aspidosperma polyneuron has mostly biseriate rays and sclerotic tyloses in vessel members. Rauwolfia sellowii shows larger rays and no tyloses in its vessel members. |
