Sumario:The text presents preliminary balance of studies about the subject matter of relationship between scientific initiation and teacher training, considering articles, theses, dissertations and recent books. In addition to historically situating, it aims to understand the impacts of scientific initiation programs for teachers’ training. The exam, of a theoretical nature, explains how scientific initiation programs entered Brazil and universities, discussing how the Institutional Scientific Initiation Scolarship Program (PIBIC) affects the development of undergraduate students of licence participating in this initiative, especially in their future teaching activities.
