Descripción
Sumario:The article discusses the possibility of aesthetics to illuminate ethic in education, interpreting violence in the formative process, from the Bildungsroman The Young Törless (1906), by Robert Musil. The consideration of the sensitive (aisthesis) to mobilize affections and emotions is a strategy that articulates the complementarity between philosophical (ethical) knowledge and that which comes from literature and the arts in general (aesthetics). Young Törless approaches violence in the educational process, provoking the emotion that links the ethical to the aesthetic and thus exposes how the authoritarian mentalities are prepared. Finally, the text concludes that the poetic creation of Musil exposes the reverse of education, since the order of the educational institution is subverted by the violent disorder that, worked in the internal process of the feelings, provokes the proper one of the aesthetic: "extreme emotion".
